The Overweight Anarchist

The truth hurts that is for sure and I had to have a firm talk with myself about this before posting, but the fact is I am verging out of chubby and right into seriously overweight. In fact if I had to the guts to do it I would do the calculations but I suspect that I am clinically obese.
(There is nothing even remotely fun about that phase).

Last week I was 192.. this week I am 187 so things are going in the right direction. I am starting with small goals, the first goal being 185 ( told you they were small!)

For a pinch of accountability I will have a goal tracker in the side bar for keeping track of my progress and celebrations each time I hit a goal!

Anybody care to join me?  .

Here I go!

Good luck. Really, I mean it. I don't know how anyone in the USA stays slim. Pass the salad.

The goal tracker is a good idea. Those baby steps add up.

I sooooooo understand. I have a lot more weight to lose than you my dear. I was doing well, but got sidetracked by life! Ugh, back on the wagon! I'll be joining you.

I have tried and tried with no luck. Now I need to lose 40 pounds before my 40th high school reunion - yes, I'm that old. Did I mention it's this November? I wish you lots of success.

Mom,I will be joining you. I gained weight after moving out, having more access to french fries and ice cream. And now my favorite vintage dresses don't fit and all of my jeans have become my skinny jeans. An annoying reality, but one that I need to start paying more attention to.

I am a fan of weight watchers.( and a member who is working on her goal wieght) Real food , portion control, and lots of support.
there are a quite a few resources such as:
cooking light, eating well,hungry girl, American heart association,

You can not drink too much water and all the wonderful fresh fruit and veggies are wonderful.

Good luck! I've been llifting weights (Strong Women by Dr. M Nelson) for a month and eating better and I haven't lost even one pound. So to fight frustration, I took my measurements and have lost inches & I feel better.

Good Luck!!! Small goals are the best. I just started doing Weight Watchers myself, it is just so hart to lose weight and keep it off with kids, running all the time, etc. Keep up the good work.
