Owl Applique- block one is done!

Just popping in to show off the first block finished in the Halloween Baltimore Album project. Actually it is not quite done..  but I will save the hand embroidery for after it is quilted. The one thing I will note is that the background fabric for each square is in the package ( not sure how I missed that!)  but as you will see I have decided to go with a funky gray and orange dot for a bit more pop... I just swing that way.. can't help myself!

Given the time frame in which I want to accomplish this project and the fleeting days until Halloween I have decided to do this as a fusible project. If you to want to follow that lead the biggest tip I can give you to set you in the right direction is that you need to scan and flip the pattern and reprint it so that when you trace onto your fusible  and then iron on you will have everything going in the right direction.

Want to get in on the fun?... check out THIS post
