When Inspiration Strikes- Frugal Fall

I have so much I want to talk with you about and have been mulling over how to start but in the mean time I thought I would show you a really awful shot of a really wonderful project I just finished.

Love those late night kitchen shots!

The towel was  a project inspired at 10pm by the adorable vintage witch and pumpkin image that Karen at the Graphics Fairy just posted up.  Honestly I was tired, I have painted all day, my body aches and I was getting ready for a class I am teaching tomorrow but when I saw this image I knew I had to do something with it and felt re-energized!

Being 10pm I used what I had on hand  ( my new rule!) and went with some mustard colored grain sack textured fabric and accented with the  the  mustard and white print from my stash. I use Transfer Artist Paper for the  image which I edited in photoshop to make it look like an old advertisement. To add some fun that only those close to me ( and now you!) would pick up on I used our street name and the year we moved into this house at the EST. date.

This was a quick project done in 20 minutes start to finish but I have to say it makes me very happy to look at and even happier that it is perfect for the season and did not cost me an extra dime to make since I sewed totally from my stash to make this happen!

What-cha think??

p.s. I will try for better photos tomorrow

It's adorable! And twenty minutes?? I'd still be at it hours later. You amaze me. Well done!

Well, I think it's stinkin' adorable, is what I think! And kudos on using only stash stuff to make it up with. Love how you personalized it, too. Great job, Maddie!

Very cute! I can't believe you put that together so quickly and so late in the evening - I was already sleeping by then!

Oh, wow! This is so fabulous! I wish that I knew HOW to make it (fabric is not the best medium for me)--I want one! ;D
